It's a rough life...

OK, a little early for a weigh-in, tomorrow. But there's nothing wrong with putting up a post. You'll have to excuse my photos. My camera is trying to die and I took some of these with my phone. Dead food-camera. Hmm. It's really a small problem in comparison to the large problem I have! What's my problem you ask? Well, it's that my clothes don't fit! It's been so long that I was this size, that I no longer have any of the winter clothing that fit my skinny ass! OK, my ass isn't really skinny just yet, but my pants are too big nonetheless.

I know, I know. What a terrible terrible first world problem to have. It's such a terrible problem to have and it's made worse by all my friends, classmates, and co-workers noticing! They keep telling me that I look so thin and good. Really, I know that they're secretly judging me...poking fun at my baggy-in-the-ass and extra-room-in-the-hips pants! It's such a rough life I lead. In fact, it was so bad today that I ordered a new bikini, just to make myself go to the beach when it's warm enough. I know, a rough, rough life...

Food fantasizing

My food obsession has been incredible lately! I'm not hungry...I've just been eating HMR food for over 2 months. I'm dreaming of pizza, of desserts...of bread!! What I wouldn't give for a grilled piece of chicken, or a lamb kebob! I'd like to say that all of this food fantasizing is triggered by stress. While high, my stress levels this week have been bearable and very well controlled by exercise. All I can think is that this diet is nearing its end for me and I'm looking forward. It is meant to run in 13 week cycles, and I'm in week 9 now. I've hit the two goals that I had; 15 pounds and then 20. I didn't dare dream a larger goal! But, is it possible? Do I want to continue? Do I want to take a break and come back? I don't know.

What I do know is that when my family visits in May, I will eat what I want to eat. I will incorporate plenty of fruits and veggies, but I will eat pizza. I will eat sushi. I will eat chicken wings. I will eat desserts. The real trick will be going back to healthy eating after the fact...

I will have one thing on my side though. Time. I will have time to cook again! Oh! To be able to cook for myself again! To be able to go out to eat once in a while! It will be grand!

Latest weigh-in results

Ya know, some weeks I like my scale much better than the scale at Harvard Vanguard. This is one of those weeks. Ugh. I worked out like there was no tomorrow, enough for a whole extra pound!! And by their scale only lost 1.4 pounds. Like I said, I like my scale better. 3 pounds by my scale!!
OK, so, when the short term news is disappointing, what's a good idea? Yup. You guessed! Focus on the bigger picture! No matter who's scale is right, I've lost 20 pounds!!! (21.5 by my scale though...) It's like I'm in the home stretch or something!

Seriously though, what I don't get is why my numbers aren't higher during high activity weeks...Although, I have been stress eating over the last couple weeks. No doubt that that's throwing things off. Either way, My weight still went down. That's all that counts. Eye on the prize!
